What is a Key Fob?
Our Simple Definition
A key fob is a wireless remote that you point at a vehicle, push a button, and get a response. The response can either be the doors locking, the doors unlocking, the car starting, or the panic system going off.
Key Fobs haven’t always been used but since their conception and wide acceptance across all makes and models of cars they truly have become a necessity for many. Why? Their convenience is what makes them so valuable and desired. No longer does the key have to be inserted to initially unlock the car.

Key Fobs Increase The Life of Keys
Think of how many times you use your car. Every time you unlock your car with your key it gets additional wear and tear and eventually it can and will break. Hopefully that doesn’t happen in your lock or ignition but it often does. Using a key fob may cost more initially but will save your from needing to replace your broken key as soon.
